Measuring the Success of Ewang’an Foundation will be both qualitative and quantitative

The program facilitators will administer both a pre-test and a post-test to girls who will participates in order to measure what information is learned by the girls during the mentorship program on a periodic basis. At the conclusion of each session, we also ask participating teachers to complete a detailed evaluation questionnaire so we can continue to find ways to improve an already excellent program.

Girls already affected by the harmful cultural practices who will have joined Technical training colleges or those who will have started Sacco programmes will be interviewed, their homes visited so as to learn the impact of empowerment on their families and their current quality of life in comparison to the initial life.

Parents will be interviewed and asked to explain both in words and real life the impact of empowerment and their thoughts on improvement on their quality of

lives, their girls and how they appreciate abandonment of harmful cultural practices.

Gazettement of Maa traditional sites identification and mapping g of boundaries will be another major milestone of concern for analysis

The …………………program is also regularly evaluated by an outside panel of professional evaluators. Because it is our goal to teach young girls both in school going and those out of

school already affected by the harmful cultural practices to become stewardesses of the Maasai community, through reduction of poverty levels among the households and the community at large, the ……… program coordinator and others are working to develop a more sophisticated, yet practical, evaluation process in order to measure the long-term impact of the program on girls who participate.

Hello

Many issues face the Maasai community and the same are characterized into two; the legal and non-legal issues. These problems have existed since time immemorial and little has been done to address them due to lack of proper leadership and numerous corruption scandals.
